Betting Games Niu Niu Introduction

The game uses a standard 52-card deck (excluding jokers). Each player is dealt 5 cards in each game. First, use 3 out of the 5 cards to form multiples of 10. Then add up the points on the 2 remaining cards. If the number of points is more than 10 points, then 10 points are subtracted, which is the number of points in the game. The number of the points is determined by the face value of the cards.

Ranking:

Ranking Card pattern
5 Dukes All 5 cards are face cards (J, Q and K)
Niu Niu 3 cards in multiples of 10, remaining 2 cards add up to 10 or 20
Niu 9 3 cards in multiples of 10, remaining 2 cards add up to 9 or 19
Niu 8 3 cards in multiples of 10, remaining 2 cards add up to 8 or 18
Niu 7 3 cards in multiples of 10, remaining 2 cards add up to 7 or 17
Niu 6 and below: general face value of the cards

Note:

10s, Jacks, Queens, and Kings are worth 10 points. Aces are worth 1 point. All other cards are worth their face value.

If the 3 cards can form a multiple of 10, then the player ‘has niu’. If the remaining 2 cards also add up to a multiple of 10, the player has a ‘Niu Niu’ hand. Apart from the ‘5 Dukes’ hand, the ‘Niu Niu’ is the biggest hand. If the 3 cards cannot form a multiple of 10, then the player will have ‘no niu’. A ‘no niu’ hand is ranked lower than a 1-point hand. If the number of points is the same, then the suit order will be compared.
